Its in human's nature to maximise profit, minimise loss, and its no different in a human interaction relationship. Being a good guy, the girl knows that u will 'always be ard', she knows that u will 'be the one there for her when she need someone', but when she doesn't, she don't have to put in effort to maintain the relationship, which is why she will not commit herself to the friendship. What ppl say about friends being stars, not always visible but always there is bullshit. That's just an excuse for ppl not to spend time maintaining relationships, and expect their 'close friends ' to be there for them when they need it. True friends are those that make the effort to spend time with each other, talk to each other constantly, let them know what's going on in their lives. In the case of a bgr, Because they will never lose the good guys, they can afford to neglect them, spend less time with them or even no time at all. They can use the guys as backup plan, while thwy search for someone better. In the case when they csnt find any one, they still have a back up.Perhaps its not good being that guy who will always be there after all.
I refused to be the back up, or even one of the options of someone. I want to be the only one of someone. Instead of being somebody to everybody, be the everyone of someone.
